OpenAlgo is operated by Social Protocol Labs. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, work email, organization, and role when you request private beta access or create an account. When you use paper translation workflows, we may process uploaded PDFs, DOI metadata, extracted method records, generated artifacts, validation summaries, and usage events. We also collect usage data through analytics to improve the product.
How we use your information
- ·Provide, maintain, and improve OpenAlgo
- ·Review private beta requests and communicate approval status
- ·Send technical notices, security alerts, and support messages
- ·Analyze usage patterns to improve the product
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and analytics cookies to understand how you use the platform. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings.
Data storage and security
Your data is stored using industry-standard encryption. We use Supabase for database storage and enforce appropriate access controls. Non-enterprise AI extraction may send paper text or PDF content to Gemini or other configured model providers for processing. The shared cloud product stores translation sessions, extraction records, generated artifacts, validation summaries, and related metadata unless a separate enterprise deployment contract says otherwise. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. If you are in the EU, you also have the right to restrict processing, data portability, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.
Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Beta request data is retained for up to 12 months after the last interaction. In the shared cloud product, translation sessions, extraction records, generated artifacts, validation summaries, and related metadata remain stored unless you request deletion or a contracted enterprise deployment includes verified purge controls. Enterprise zero-retention claims apply only to separately configured workflows with deletion evidence. You can request deletion at any time.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on the site and updating the date above.
